SECTION 1: GENERAL DIRECTIVES
1. All students are required to wear the prescribed uniform. A general appearance of cleanliness and neatness is expected of the students at all times.
2. Wearing of the school I.D. at all times is a must. Loss of I.D. card should be reported immediately to the adviser so that a temporary I.D. card can be secured and subsequently, a replacement can be made.
3. Required haircut for male students is 2x2 side and back from the hairline. Hair bangs should not touch the eyebrows.
4. Long hair faddish hair cut spiked and colored/dyed hair is not allowed in school. Excessive use of hair gel is prohibited. Manicured colored long nails are likewise not allowed.
5. Students are discouraged from wearing expensive or fancy jewelry and bringing valuables to school. The school will not be held liable for losses or damages pertaining to this. Boys are not allowed to wear earrings and baseball caps. Tattoos, body piercing and other fancy body marks are strictly prohibited.
6. Bringing of cellular phones (DepEd Order No. 70, S. 1999) , beepers 2 –way radio units ,electronic toys and other similar items comic books, play cards ,board games vcd’s ,cd’s, tablet, i-pad and any other recreational materials not academically prescribed is strictly prohibited. The authorities have the right to conduct routine inspections to determine violations in this area. Confiscated items will be returned to parents guardians only at the end of the school year to avoid further and /or repeated violations.
7. Non-compliance with any of the above will be subject to disciplinary action.
Section 2. Code of Conduct
The school ‘s objectives may be achieved only if the students are able to manifest obedience to rules and regulations for orderly behavior , exercise self – control , show consideration for the rights of others and accept the consequences of their actions. Towards this end, it is the schools philosophy to establish a firm, fair and just system of discipline. The development of self discipline among the students is the primary aim of the system.
1. The school is the second home; hence the student is expected to observe proper decorum in the classrooms, library, offices, laboratories, clinic, canteen, covered court, comfort rooms, corridors and stairways.
2. Courtesy and politeness are expected of every Amparonian while in attendance at school functions and at approved off-campus school activities.
3. In all dealings with office personnel, faculty members, administrative officials and utilities personnel, the usual norms of politeness and etiquette are to be observed. Any of the above mentioned persons may confiscate the I.D. card of a student who displays disrespectful behavior.
4. Persistent occurrences of this kind of behavior render the student liable to corresponding disciplinary measure (s).
5. Orderliness and cleanliness of surroundings should always be maintained. Littering and loitering should be avoided.
6. The use of any school facility must be approved by the administrator or his designated official. Equipment should be handled with reasonable care and properly returned / stored after use. Malfunction in any school equipment or facility should be reported immediately. Students are expected to replace or pay for any damage that they may cause to school property.
7. School facilities such as vacant classrooms and covered court may only be used upon prior written approval of the administrator and other offices concerned. The facilities may not be used for purposes of organizing or carrying out any unlawful activity, or for purposes incompatible with the objectives and functions of the school. The school reserves the right to declare certain school facilities/ areas OFF LIMITS to students.
8. The faculty room/s and Department Head’s office are strictly OFF LIMITS to students at all times.
9. No social functions meetings, meetings rehearsals, assemblies and other extracurricular activities may be held without permission from the office. Notice for such must be submitted in writing one week from the date of the activity.
10. Wearing the school uniform while shopping or going to movies or in any other unauthorized place or activities is discouraged.
11. Smoking in the classrooms, comfort rooms and in any areas within the campus is strictly prohibited. Smoking while in school uniform even outside the campus is likewise strictly prohibited. As per DECS Order. 63 s. 1998, all schools are declared NO SMOKING ZONES.
12. Any form of gambling (established or improvised) including the use of play cards and other gambling paraphernalia, betting, use of narcotic drugs/ substances and alcoholic beverages within school grounds are strictly prohibited.
13. Any outsider is not allowed on campus unless on official business. Classes who invite guests from outside the campus are required to secure approval from the principal’s office.
14. No announcements may be posted on the bulletin boards nor letters circularized without permission from the principal’s office. Blackboards in the classrooms are to be used exclusively for instructional purposes.
15. Violations of Library rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action.
16. Healthy interaction with members of the opposite sex is encouraged. However , boisterous or obscene behavior and any act or gestures which tends to distract others or that which may be offend the sensibilities of the students is prohibited.
17. During prayers, the students should observe silence and show respect and reverence. likewise , students are advised to stand at attention while praying.
18. During flag ceremony/flag retreat, the student must stand at attention and put his right hand over his left chest as a salute to honor the Philippine Flag and sing the Philippine National anthem with pride and honor.
19. Playing basketball, volley ball and other sports/games are allowed only during P.E. time. Any faculty member or AHS personnel may confiscate sports equipment/materials if used outside of P.E. time.
20. If the teacher is absent, the students should remain quiet inside the classroom. The class president or any other officer, in his absence, should report the teacher’s absence to the school authorities.
21. Every Amparonian must always be ready and willing to offer a helping hand to everyone whenever and wherever it is needed.
Section 3. Student Discipline and the Discipline Committee

B. Jurisdiction
All cases involving discipline of students shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Discipline Committee. Any reported misconduct that involves the status of a student or affects the good name or reputation of AHS or disrupts its regular academic process shall be subject to inquiry and investigation of the committee.
C. Power and Functions
To investigate major violations of non-academic policies and to deliberate on appropriate sanctions for such violations. It shall be the duty of the Chairman to preside over the hearing and deliberations of the case. A majority of the Committee shall be sufficient to constitute a quorum. The decision of the Discipline Committee, as fully acknowledged by the Principal is final and irrevocable.

7. Cheating and/or attempts and or intent to cheat in examination,
project and reports.
8. Display, possession or distribution of pornographic materials.
9. Improper haircut, not in proper uniform, manicured nails, tattoos,
earrings for males, multiple earrings for females, wearing of baseball
caps, no ID.
10. Habitual neglect of school tasks.
11. Gambling/possession of gambling paraphernalia/betting.
12. Inciting others to violate school regulations or not to attend class
Note:
Type A violation concerns classroom management and teachers are expected to impose the authority given to them as classroom managers. These could only be elevated to the Discipline Officer if students have committed the same violation for four or five-times.
When elevating the violations to the Discipline Officer the anecdotal must be used as an evidence that the student has repeatedly committed the same violation.
TYPE B: DISCIPLINE OFFICER LEVEL
1. Vandalism, improper use of school facilities and destruction of school
facilities.
2. Tampering and falsification of official documents, test papers and
confidential school records.
3. Stealing the property of the school, school personnel and fellow
students.
4. Extortion
5. Possession/use of weapons, alcoholic drinks, prohibited drugs in
school or while in school uniform.
6. Fencing of stolen items.
7. Connivance to commit/cover a violation.
8. Membership in fraternities/sororities and any secret societies
prohibited by the administrators, hazing and recruitment in said
groups.
9. Engaging in sexual activities inside the campus.
10. Selling of prohibited drugs.
11. Acts related to bullying as specified in RA 10627
Section 4. Disciplinary Action
Students shall be subjected to disciplinary action when found guilty of misconduct, not only within the school premises but also outside the school if such misconduct involves their status as students or affects the good name of the school.
Section 5. Disciplinary Action may be in form of:
1. Written warnings or notice to parents
2. Detention -This means that the student concerned is excluded from attending classes and other activities for one to five days. A repetition of the same offense of the same gravity will subject the same student to a longer detention period. A counseling procedure follows after the suspension period. Suspension is in the form of community service.
3. A student advised for change of environment on the grounds stipulated in this discipline code cannot be re-admitted.

A student has the right to be heard and may appeal to a higher authority through the principal.
